⭕ This is the parachute drop version and contrary to popular belief they are far rarer than those in the suitcase. The spares box contains headphones, key, four tank coils, mains cable, three spare valves, a crystal dated 1944 and as can be seen in the last image, the left hand edge of the lid is stamped 11443, (presumably the manufacturers date code for 11th April 1943) along with 28 which could be the serial number. I acquired the set from a licensed amatuer who purchased it new in the early 1950s through the R.S.G.B. and used it regularly for over 20 years and whilst the set appears to be completely original with no replacement parts or modifications HOWEVER, no guarantee as to this can be given.
