Briggs And Stratton Model F 12 Hp OHV Engine

⭕ Here is a great 1921-1922 air cooled original paint and patina BRIGGS AND STRATTON MODEL F. This engine is the first of the OHV ( overhead valve ) engines. This engine was produced shortly after the model P and had become the top of the line of stationary engines for Briggs. The F-series engines were produced for many years due to the reliability.
Ive had this engine for many years and the only thing Ive done to it was, replace the spark plug wire and added a new muffler. When I first got it, I added a little oil and gas and got it to pop once and that was enough. Its sat now for about 15 years. The engine is as original as they come. It has the original peace pipe carburetor, rocker arm and Lonergan oiler. The block was scratched at 3 shoulders prior to me owning but Im unable to see a serial number and didnt see it on the flywheel. Ive seen another F and had an FB without serial number stamped in it. The engine has a magneto and would date it to 1922. The fins on the head and cylinder are not broke! This is a really great engine and harder to find than a Briggs or Smith motor wheel. This is the last of the Briggs F-Series engine I have. Hopefully it will find a good home!
