1864 ANTIQUE Silver Civil War Isaac Fiske Circular Cornet

⭕ Ill try not to go into severe hyperbole about this example of an Antique Horn Instrument....From a collection that has not seen the light of day for over 30 years...This is an ANTIQUE circa 1864 (Civil War Era) Isaac Fiske of Worcester, Massachusetts German Silver Circular ( Round ) Cornet with accessories , case , and very interesting letters of provenance...This German Silver horn is in VERY GOOD playable condition...It comes with all the extra extensions and mouthpiece...The rotary valves all function very well and all slides are free and able to slide out easily (the center valve string need to be tightened )...The bell is engraved Isaac Fiske Maker Worcester, Mass. on one side and Wm C. Little (the person it was made for) on the other...The original case is in pretty good condition and is lined purple...Beside the impressive condition this also includes TWO LETTERS in envelopes that were in the case from the Henry N Hooper & Co.(a company that also made Civil War Weapons) to the purchaser William C. Little and stating the bill for $84.39 on December 5 , 1864...A serious amount of money in that time...Also impressive regarding the provenance is that the letters to the purchaser William C. Little are to his place of employ which was the Banking House Parrott & Co of San Francisco where Mr. Little was the book keeper for John Parrott ( a lucrative position to be sure)...Parrott & Co. was not only a very important early San Francisco Bank , but were partners of Walter B. Comstock an important figure of the Gold Rush era of San Francisco...Overall the combination of maker, rarity, condition, and provenance make for an impressive item..
