⭕ vintage 1955 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar with brand new tweed case
Original owner was a bit of an Elvis fan and had this guitar for many decades. It is marked of course as a D-28 145xxx inside the sound hole. I have gotten to play all sorts of custom, reissues, and limited edition but nothing beats this vintage Brazilian rosewood. The guitar just has this big presence with perfectly sculpted tone with perfect string separation when playing chords. Overall I dont think you will find a warmer tone or that mellow Martin finger picking feel on any recreation of these vintage D-28s. If you are playing with a flat pick get ready for some big sound. I dont think you would need to mic this guitar for smaller venues because it just projects so well. The looks are nothing short of outrageous with that deep and rich Brazilian rosewood that has that tight dark wood grain and the sitka spruce top has become this great dark honey type color.
