RARE POLAND 1934 LUDWIKOW CAVALRY SWORD Wz34

⭕ The Wz.34 represents the worlds final officially adopted sword model that was purpose-designed and intended for use as a cavalry arm.During the 1939 invasion, its combat use was documented in a number of successful engagements undertaken by Polish cavalry formations. The place of honor it occupies in the long and magnificent martial heritage of Poland is perhaps the most fitting tribute to the last cavalry saber.
Length overall is 39 and blade length is 32.Weight of saber is approx.1.90 lbs and the sword in scabbard weight is approx.3.25 lbs.It is very well constructed and the design is particularly robust. The hilt is a brass stirrup type with double langets,an interesting characteristic of the hilt being its unique pierced quillon. The grooved wooden grip scales are secured by two machine screws. The scabbard is all steel, finished bright.Different polinish stamps near the crossguard
The sword is in a very nice near mint condition, nothing restored or made new.The grip and the brass parts are in nice condition with a fine historical tough of time and very small chips. The blade is a superb quality steel. The scabbard has the original first silver chrom, which is in nice condition.
