⭕ This Bechstein Model 8 (or III) no 27... is an overstrung piano dating from the early 1890s.It looks and sounds magnificent with a fine detailed high register and warm resonant lower register.It is 127cm/50in tall,has 88 notes with all the original ivories and ebonies,together with a shimmering ebonised finish.It was completely and lovingly refurbished in 2004 by experts at Courtney Pianos,Oxford who then brought it back to its original late nineteenth-century condition.It not only plays magnificently with a strong and responsive touch,but it looks wonderful with a deep black finish which gives it a sculptured quality.This splendid piano is a work of art appealing as much to the eye as to the ear.
