Salk Upright Piano

⭕ This Salk piano dates from the late 1800s and is a reliable, antique piano perfected for use as a private home piano, restored by our in house Piano technicians. It was made in the UK, and has 85 keys, therefore making the piano more space efficient, ideal for use as a private home piano. We acquired this piano from a UK owner and it has been kept in good condition. This piano has recently been brought out form storage in our warehouse and subjected to a full restoration. Many aspects of this piano are original and remain in good condition following some love and care from our technicians. It has a full iron frame, the mechanism has been serviced and all the original wood has been retained. We have replaced all the tuning pins, fitted new centre pins and reshaped the hammer. The distinctive walnut polished case has been cleaned and remains in great condition considering the pianos age.
This Salk piano has a medium classical tone, with slightly mellow overtones, from the aged wood. Its touch is soft to play, which is ideal for beginners and it has two pedals. This Salk also retains the original metal wheel. As this Salk was produced pre-1920 it is straight strung with an over-damper design. The keyboard cover has a lock, and it was lost by a previous owner, we would be happy to get a new key fitted. The price of this piano reflects our desire that this piano goes to developing or beginner pianist. For the price this is a robust, antique workhorse piano that has already stood the test of time - with our reconditioning, were confident its more than up to the challenge of another century of playing.
