1920s Boyd Antique Upright Piano


⭕ This Boyd Upright Piano dates back to between the 1920s and 1930s and has received a service from our in house piano technicians, ensuring its in tip top condition. It has a unique character and feel, and is an ideal piano for the beginner or developing pianist working through the grades, or for someone who is looking for a piano for casual use at home. As part of its service we have reshaped the hammers, treated the casework, and serviced the piano mechanism. This particular Boyd Upright Piano has a lovely solid oak casing and a cast iron frame, and has over strung under dampers with its quality is typical of the high standard pianos that were being produced in Britain in the early twentieth century. Like many pianos of its age, the keyboard case has a lock, and here at A. Hanna & Sons Pianos wed be happy to arrange to get a lock fitted for it if you so require it. Its casters were factory fitted at production, and it has the traditional amount of 85 keys, and therefore its dimensions make it more space efficient than many modern day pianos.
The piano has a medium tone, neither mellow nor too bright and its soft touch make it a joy to play. With its distinctive solid oak cabinet, this Boyd piano gives you the genuine feel of playing an antique piano in your own home at a very competitive price.
