Beautiful, Large, Bright Double Room In Spotless Clean Victorian Home
⭕ Hi, I am looking for a lodger/ flatmate to rent the large front bedroom of the house . It is in a charming, spotless, well maintained, fully equipped victorian, ground floor maisonette in a beautiful residential neighbourhood in Balham. Balham is both on the Northern tube and overland train lines.
YOUR ROOM:
It consists of a bright large front bedroom with big bay windows, this fronts into the small front garden. It has as a pleasing green view of the front garden and the windows are equipped with brand new white - backed with blackout curtains. The house is on a quiet but well populated residential road - very safe but you will almost never hear any traffic/ street noise.
The room has solid oakwood flooring and is finished generally to an exceptionally high spec.
The bed in this bedroom is a German make high quality, big double sofa bed. You can use it as both a bed and a sofa or keep it permanently as a bed if you please. It is solid, very comfortable both as a 3 seater sofa and as a large double bed. It measures 205 cms (L) x 155 cms (W) as a double bed.
All brand new bedding and pillows provided.
There is a large vintage french armoire (wardrobe) with internal LED lights, this is of course empty and has ample space for your clothes, shoes etc. The room further has two sitting chairs (one rocking) and one writing desk. It also has a wall mounted 32 TV (free-view). And a million books neatly on shelves if you like to read.
REST OF THE HOUSE:
This is NOT a serial rental flat-share business. It is a warm and loved home and your room is decorated as a home should be and not as a neutral themed business hotel room.
We are 2 others in this home. I live in the 2nd bedroom, I work independently as a digital consultant and entrepreneur. Then comes the 3rd double bedroom (rented out to a very warm, tidy and friendly professional lady in her 30s), a spotlessly clean bath and shower room cum toilet, with plenty of space/shelves for your things (we share this bathroom), a common dining and sitting area, a kitchen with all high quality appliances including a large dishwasher, washer, seperate dryer , vitamix, green juicer and coffee machine, and finally a leafy back garden (thats 20 feet wide and about 90 feet long) with garden chairs and sun loungers and bird feeders.
NEIGHBOURHOOD:
All within 7-8 minutes walking distance to Balham Station which is both on the overground as well as the Northern line of the underground.
Price includes all bills plus strong wifi broadband. Professional cleaning can be arranged at a small extra cost - if you like. Though as said earlier we are very clean and tidy.
The vibrant Balham high road with its bars, pubs and restaurants, Sainsburys, Waitrose etc are all within the same 7-8 minute walking distance.
On street parking is easy and very possible and has to be applied for via the council - as per their standard rates.
YOU:
The house is kept spotlessly clean by us, we are not OCD or anything but prefer to have someone who is also neat and tidy. Respectful of others, not noisy and peace loving :) but at the same time friendly, sociable and warm. Would prefer someone who works full time.
No couples, smokers or pets please. Any questions, please dont hesitate to ask.
